The University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) recently premiered a new television programme ‘GIBS Business’ on DSTV’s Channel ED, 318.

The programme, which is broadcast weekly on Fridays at 17:45, offers business content from well-known decision-makers, academics and leaders from both South Africa and the African continent. The programme repeats at different time slots during the week.

GIBS, which is one of Africa and South Africa’s leading business schools, has access to broad range of top thought leaders. The programme promises riveting insights from academics, CEOs, business leaders, analysts, economists and government leaders covering topics ranging from the economics of dynamic markets through to management, strategy, marketing and entrepreneurship.

Howard Fox, executive director of marketing at GIBS, said: “When GIBS was approached to produce content for Urban Brew’s new education channel on DSTV, we grabbed the opportunity.”

“GIBS already has its own broadcast-quality studio on its Illovo campus with over 6 000 people watching our videos monthly. ‘GIBS Business’ presents the business school with another platform to showcase the rich diversity of speakers on the GIBS campus throughout the year to a broader audience and allows us to continue to achieve our mission to significantly improve individual and organisational performance, primarily in the South African environment, through the provision of high quality business and management education.”
